"A comfortable gathering place to share
good food, good drink, and good conversation."
While I was growing up on Rotch Street in Fairhaven, Paul Cleary, my step-father, built a bar in our cellar and named it Cleary’s Pub. Since deciding to pay homage to that fine man and his bar, many friends have recalled the countless, good times had at Cleary’s Pub of Rotch Street. Cleary’s Pub was a very memorable place for my family. Everyone who ventured downstairs could expect a warm welcome, a comfortable atmosphere, good drinks and spirited conversation. And when food was required, my Mom’s great cooking was always there to sustain us. We will try our very best to make the reborn Cleary’s Pub just as memorable for everyone who joins us here. Lastly, in case you’re wondering, “EST. 1918” is not a typo. It was the year Paul Cleary was born.
